Eric G. Hoerner
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hoerner is the Chief Executive Officer of MidCoast Community Bancorp, Inc. and MidCoast Community Bank and Chief Executive Officer and a Partner of Greenleaf Financial Group, LLC an investment management firm in Lancaster, PA. Greenleaf specializes in investing in community banks, including de novo banks, throughout the United States. Prior to forming Greenleaf in 2006, Mr. Hoerner was an investment banker for 22 years, specializing in providing merger/acquisition advice and financing services to banks and insurance companies. He is a director of Nantahala Bank & Trust Company, Franklin, NC (Chair of Audit Committee). Mr. Hoerner holds a Master Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors. Mr. Hoerner is a graduate of Bucknell University and is a CPA (inactive).

L. Peter Temple
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Temple is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of both MidCoast Community Bank and MidCoast Community Bancorp, Inc. He is the Managing Partner of Larmore & Scarlett, LLP of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, where he concentrates his practice in real estate transactions, structured financial transactions, business law and estate planning.
Robert R. Aerenson
Board Director/Trustee
Mr. Aerenson is the owner and President of Fairfax Discount Liquors. He also serves as President of ROJAN, Inc., a family owned and operated real estate development company in Delaware and connecting states, focusing on retail shopping centers.
Joy A. Barrist
Board Director/Trustee
Ms. Barrist is a partner in the Delaware law firm of Potter Anderson & Corroon, LLP. She regularly represents both lenders and borrowers in various types of commercial real estate finance transactions. Her experience also includes CMBS, mezzanine and syndicated loan transactions. She also handles various other commercial real estate matters for individuals and businesses in all asset classes. In addition to real estate finance, her experience extends to asset-based finance and other complex commercial loan facilities. Ms. Barrist holds several leadership roles in national professional associations, including co-vice chair of the Mortgage Lending Committee of the American Bar Association’s Real Property Trust & Estates Section and Delaware state chair of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. She is a member of various civic organizations, including Committee of 100 and board member of Delaware Commercial Real Estate Women. Ms. Barrist is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law, J.D.
Robert Dayton II
Board Director/Trustee
Mr. Dayton is a founding member of and the immediate past President of the Delaware BioScience Association, an association of bioscience companies, medical institutions and academia in Delaware. He previously served on the Executive Committee and Chairman of the National Council of State Bioscience Associations and was a member of numerous boards in the region. Currently, he serves as a member of the University of Delaware Department of Accounting and MIS Advisory Board INBRE EAC.
Dominic M. Gioffre

Dr. Gioffre operated his dental practice in Delaware from 1971 until 2013, when he sold the practice. During that period, he also served in the Dental Department of Alfred I. DuPont Children’s Hospital for 19 years.

Terry L. Lehman
Board Director/Trustee
Mr. Lehman retired with over 30 years of experience in public accounting and private industry, including 12 years with Ernst & Young and 17 years at a regional accounting firm, where he served as leader of the financial services, insurance and SEC practice groups. He specialized in the coordination of the annual audits and reporting matters and assisted with merger and acquisition activities and audit committee/board of directors’ communications. His experience includes all aspects of SEC reporting and public offerings. Mr. Lehman is a member of the AICPA, PICPA and serves/served as chair, vice-chair and board member of numerous civic organizations. He is on the Board of Citizens & Northern Corporation (Audit Committee, Asset-Liability Committee and IT Committee), Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, a holding company whose principal activity is community banking. He graduated magna cum laude from Shippensburg University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting.
Ronald E. Schafer

Mr. Schafer is co-founder and a principal of OnixGroup and its related entities, which own, develop and operate various real estate investments in the hospitality, healthcare, and commercial real estate development industries in the Mid-Atlantic Region and Florida. He also is co-founder of Long Term Care Corp, which assists companies in the areas of healthcare facility operations, accounting systems, finance, and third-party reimbursement for long-term care.
Thomas J. Shopa

Mr. Shopa retired as a partner of BDO USA, LLP in 2015. Previously, Mr. Shopa was the Managing Director of McBride, Shopa and Company, P.A., a certified public accounting firm he founded in 1978. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Delaware College of Art and Design and the Chair of the Wilmington Economic and Financial Advisor Council for the City of Wilmington. Prior to that he served as Chairman of the Board of the Delaware Community Foundation and the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. He has held leadership positions in state, professional, community and non-profit organizations.
